Warehouse Storage Ipswich
Britannia Storage and Distribution Ltd have 40,000 square feet of warehouse space in Ipswich, primarily set up for de-vanning containers upon arrival at Felixstowe docks, and distributing using our own fleet of vehicles to various locations in the UK.
Situated 5 minutes from the A14, within 8 miles of Felixstowe, the warehouse is ideally placed to offload containers, palletise, store and transport on our curtain sided vehicles. This allows payloads of 28 / 29 Mt, rather than the 20 Mt on a container, thereby reducing the number of vehicle movements by 25%.
We have experienced staff who can offer an all round service including de-vanning of loose and palletized containers. The benefit of being close to Felixstowe docks, but not on them, means that we do not suffer from port closures or the traffic problems that this leads to during adverse weather, while still being close enough to be competitively priced.
The warehouse is secure and dry, providing a perfect base for those customers wishing to de-van containers, and store their products prior to onward delivery to the end user.
